I took my friends from Dallas fishing today out in Trinity Bay. I was hoping I could make it to the N. Trinity Bay Wells. But we had a strong East wind against an incoming tide, which make for a very rough ride. I got about half way there and decide it was not worth beating up my guest to get there. So I pulled up short at the Yellow separator and fish there. Caught one 15 1/2" Trout there on soft plastic and that was it. Wind was getting higher so I pulled up and ran into calm water behind Mesquite Island. Caught two nice Trout (23" & 17") and one small throw back. By now it was 12 noon and time to head in. At the ramp I talked with an old high school friend and he said that they (2 of them) had limited out on Dow Reef. I should have pulled up short there. Tomorrow we are going Deep Sea fishing on the Captain John out of Galveston for a change. Until next time, take care. BYE----------------Tom
