Friday afternoon my wife lead me to believe she was taking me to look at something she was considering getting but couldn't make up her mind and wanted my opinion before pulling the trigger. "Oh, by the way, we'll take your truck." After a few "turn here" and then a "pull in here" at a fabrication shop I knew she didn't find on her own I still have no clue why we are here. Not until we got inside and find the guys standing around waiting for us did the light finally shine on my early Father's Day gift. My wife had ordered (actually designed) a fish cleaning table for me!! Imagine my excitement when they told me that is what we came to get. Bennie at Coastal did an outstanding job of taking her layout and turning it into a well built good looking mobile cleaning table.
Thanks a bunch sweetie -- you're the best!!
Now if I can just post the picture.

Thanks ya'll. I gotta really nice one --- wife that is. ;) I think my talk about building one gave her headaches on how it would turn out so she made a preemptive strike. :D
Bennie at Coastal Welding Services (281-389-1964) made it. They are located just off FM 96 on Lawrence Rd. in League City. Actually, he is expanding his business and just closed the deal on buying out HiTech's facility there. This is his first cleaning table and he made it to take a beating -- lots of bracing, etc. Plus adding some lines to it rather than a plain square frame. Good job at a very reasonable price. We'll be taking it back to have him drill a hole for the scraps to drop thru -- I needed to decide how to set that up.
Laura, that would fit the bill for your dock.

excellent!

Great story, table, and woman. I can tell it's been too long not fishing when the first thing that occurred to me was, "Hmm--a changing table? Trying to tell him something for Father's Day"?

Dave (GC), as I understand it Mike is going to devote full time now to building the alumium cats. He has a 37' there in the shop which should soon be getting the paint job.

Word-doc, we are WAY PAST any thought of that. You do need to go fishing dude. ;)
