I'm tired of being involved in bailouts, Aid to other countries, and aid to those in this country that will not work and mooch off the system! I am not just tired, I am [email protected]# . Seems every time we see a ray of light something else schrews up and all hope is lost! I firmly believe that this bailout situation is political because of the upcoming election, and some of the elected are looking to get there pockets full out of this. I'm tired of the corruption and not having the say so where my tax money is going. The only folks that are going to pay for all this is the middle class, #1 "We are the only folks that work"! You cant take tax money from a welfare check, and if you take tax money out of a rich mans check it will not hurt him like it does us middle class men and women. Look at it this way, if we stopped all foreign aid to other countries our national debt would be a thing of a past. If we put a tighter restriction on welfare our national debt would be another thing of the past. And these bailouts weve been paying for are a bunch of ****, See if you get behind on your home loan and then see if ol Uncle Sam well jump right on in to take your back, hell no , you'll be out on the streets! It's all about the dollar with the government and it is not for you and I! We are headed for a communist society wether we like it or not !

You are very much right. I don't understand big business. If my business was going broke no one especially the government wouldn't bail me out. Another thing I cannot understand is pro sports stadiums. Why do the tax payers pay for stadiums? It is like building a store and giving it to someone to run and make all the money from. If some rich guy wants a new stadium for his team he should build it. I built my store on my dime, I couldn't even get a SBA loan.

I am with you Capt. I get very angry and it just seems to get worse and worse all the time. I want to vote for a real person,not just a mouth piece, i have no faith in any of them. Nice rant ( do you feel better?)
patfatdaddy- you hit on one of my pet peeves, it was so nice to hear someone else say it.Thought I was the only one as I do not really care that much for sports,other than golf.

I am glad there are other people who think like i do, the other night Obama and Mcain both kept saying "we", i think that our politicians are so far out of touch it isn't funny. I work my tail off to pay my bills, these comapnies are in the position they are because of what "they did" not us. Some of these CEO and CFO's should be forking their salaries back over to bail out these comapnies. What is sad is that the officers of WAMU, AIG and Freddie and Fannie will walk away just as rich as they walked in. And "we" the working Americans are going to carry the burden, even though "we" had no say in how "we" got into this situation! I have made mistakes in the past, i have gotten into a bind a time or two. But i have always got myself out. I might have had to give some things up, or work 7 days a week 12-14 hours a day, or go to BFE (Actually BF Al Jubail KSA) but I have taken care of my business! I didn't go looking for a bailout. Sorry, got on a rant. just tired of hearing about all of this and seeing my retirement get smaller and smaller!

What do ya'll think our kids will be burdened with? The gap between the haves and have nots gets bigger every month. How many 2nd or 3rd generation politicians do we have? Our political system corrupts those who start out with the best intentions. IMO our country has started slipping towards social and moral decline. Pay attention to what is now acceptable viewing on TV. Here while back at some high school in California the students removed the American flag and ran up the Mexican. Wrong! Just recently, I can't remember the name but it was posted here on 2cool, an athlete has no respect for anthem of the country which allows him to make more money than most of his fans ever will. This stuff is happening everyday and yet what can we do about it? Confrontation would probably get yourself in the clink to cool off. I personally think it is a sad situation. Myself I am on the 10 year plan. In 10 years my intentions are to cash out all my retirement and savings plans, convert to pesos and wire transfer to hotel in Mexico. Go there remove from the bank as money again and travel to unknown destination and homested. Just drop off the face of the planet and whatever happens-happens. Maybe I listen to much Jimmy Buffet music and it has influenced me!

I tired of the "unethical, dishonest, backstabbing" people who get elected to the US House and the Senate. These people don't care about you and me, only how much money they can put in their pockets.

Its time for term limits for the US House of Rep. and the US Senate.

Bail outs will not stop. However, I believe that any company that receives a bailout must have all board of directors and senior officers dismissed and someone else take over. At what point will the working class say enough is enough. I have been on my own since 17 years of age. No one has helped me. If I make a mistake I pay. Went to night college for 13 years to get a degree and pulled myself up the corporate ladder in chemical industry to finally be comfortable. Retired and now watch the 401K money fall in value because of greedy people and that includes people who bought homes they could not afford and the lenders that expected a bailout. I better quit before I get depressed/mad/depressed/mad.....

What i don't understand is why aren't these guys paid according to company performance? if the company does well they get paid accordingly, if it goes in the toilet well you get notta!

I disagree. They aren't any better than the Democrats and that is the problem. Until we get some one that does not think like every other politician it is not going to get any better. Good luck on that.
