If the tides don't run us off the beach(right now I don't think they will) this could be THE WEEKEND OF A LIFETIME at HI for reds and sharks. Everyone is talking about the big lemon that was caught last week. That ain't the shark I am thinking about, its gone.
The one I want is the 10 ft+ shark that a buddy of mine saw last week. It was trying to get over the first bar after a bull red he had staked out on a rope in the fist gut. From his description, it was longer than my yak(11ft scrambler) and almost jet black. That tells me there is a BIG (probably female)bull shark up there and if she will dance with me on the beach, I'll dmnnsure pay the fiddler.
Before anyone starts hollering about the red staked out in the first gut. It was legally tagged.
He didn't have a big enough ice chest to put it in, so he decided to keep it alive until he left.
