I responded to a post earlier and wanted to throw this out there for discussion and info.

I just got back from a Florida trip and we went off shore and also fished the west coast. I've been over there now for 4 years and on the west coast (Gulf) tides are a big factor in finding fish especially red fish. It seems their tides are about 6- 8 hours. You might have high tide at 7 am and low tide at 3 pm and high again around 10 pm. On our coast it seems the tide will go out the whole day or come in the whole day sometimes. Over there the rule for finding good red fish is to fish the last 2 hours of high tide and the first hour of the outgoing tide fishing a cut, cove or a point.

Do you guys pay much attention to the tides and is there a web site that's easy to read that shows a tide chart? Thanks...
