Thinking about buying a Triumph T-Bird Sport 00 model.9,000 miles and in great shape.I demod the bike for a couple of hours and fell in love.It has the off-road pipes, bug screen and 2 seats ( solo w/ cowl and 2 up )It is very nimble for a 500lb bike and has good real world torque.Does anyone have any comments on this bike? I presently ride a Suzuki RF 900R and have come to the conclusion that I dont need to be riding a crotch rocket anymore since I have kids and life is treating me good.I guess I'm just getting wiser w/ age!!The RF is for sale if anyone is interested. 1996 model w/ 13,000 original miles 3,700.00 nego

YOu would be very happy if you accept the bike for what it is . I was a Triumph tech last year and I found that to be a very swet bike. I like them for what they are built for you may want to change the spoket for more top end if you feel you need to and one thing to check is have the ox sensors been plugged when the pipes were put on. Look down by the spark plugs and see if you have a plug or a pipe leading to an airbox.

Great bikes and I think they have lots of style in this era of plastic anime rockets and showroom Harleys that just dont show any individualism anymore.
PM me if you need to.
PS I would like you old bike but little thin right now.

Love the T-Bird !!

Fridayfisher,

I purchased the T-Bird and love it.All my Harley friends think it is way cool.Ihave been riding the bike every chance I get.It is just what I was looking for.I have yet to get on some good twistys but Im sure it is going to be just fine.I might have to adjust the suspension because Im an aggressive rider.I appreciate the advice on the O2 sensor, Ill check it out.If I have any questions I give you a PM.

Might want to play around with changing the oil in the front forks. I think they call for 15 wt from the factory . You can go to a 30wt and get a stiffer front end(no pun) and eliminate some front end dive. Dump the stock rear shocks and get a pair of Konis and will ride much better.
