The 27th anual TTA convention and taxidermy show will be held in Houston this year. June 15-17th will be the show for assoc. members with seminars, competetion and supply room. The competetion room is open to the public on Saturday June 17th from 10-2. Ribbons and awards will be placed on the mounts for public viewing. I think it's free for the public but there may be a nominal fee.
So if you want to see some of the state's best work (competetively speaking)
drop in and be very impressed.

I thought you could have been speaking of Dave McBride, am thinking he's still a member and past winner of several state compititions including several Blue ribbons and I think a 'Best of Show' with a Bass mount. I was a member of both state and national when I was doing taxidermist work, and have also sat in on a cpl of seminars, I learned how to improve my paint scheme on bass by Ron Kelley about 15 yrs back. I saw a pc of work when the National meeting was in Waco and named my boat after the pc. It was a 2 sided Striper mounted on a pedistal and was called 'Wet Dreams' WW
