IT'S TIME AGAIN! The "Get Tight Sucka!" Texas Swordfish Seminar will be benefitting the US veterans of "Everyday Heroes Inc" again this year!
First off we want to send out a BIG thanks to all the previous Swordfish Seminar sponsors over the past 3 years and to our new ones this year! With out the help of all of you this could never happen. The seminar has grown each year and our sponsors have grown with it. The event benefits the Every Day Heroes a non profit organization that provides medical transportation and much, much more to numerous Us veterans. Over the last 3 years with the help of all the sponsors and attendees the Texas Swordfish Seminar have raised enough money to cover the cost of a new 16 passenger bus, wheel chairs, 3 wheel buggies to get around, wheel chair ramps at Veterans homes and much more! The event has been tons of fun and what a great feeling at the end of the day.. Thank you once again to all of our sponsors who have contributed and to all the new ones participating in the up and coming 2014 event!

This will be the 4th annual 'Get Tight Sucka!" Texas Swordfish Seminar. Our first year we estimated 500 attendees, year 2 we estimated 1200 folks attended, last year we estimated over 2000 fisherman and sponsors attended! We hope to blow that away this year and its looking pretty good already! Most of our sponsors from last year have already contacted us and we are just starting to get the word out.. The Booby Trap Fishing Team will be putting on the Seminar- Brett Holden "Capt. Ahab", Capt.Jeff Wilson, Capt.Travis Joyce, Capt.Matt Reed and Rory Starling along with Guest speaker Capt. Nick Stanczyk of Bn'M on daytime swordfishing techniques night time and swordfishing techniques. Disco luis will be back and rigging swordfishing baits again with Tim Picket from LP at our breakout tables. We plan to cover all the bases. Rigging daytime swordfish baits, rigging nighttime swordfish baits, tackle rigging for daytime swordfish, rigging for night time swordfish, depths to target multiple swordfish bites and techniques on how to catch BIG SWORDFISH. We learn each year new swordfishing tricks and techniques and this year our goal is to have our supporters and attendees catching bigger and more swordfish plus teaching folks enough to catch their first swordfish...

We will be updating our website with details as we get them and promoting the seminar and its sponsors up to the Seminar date April 26, 2014. Save the date its going to be a blast once again for the entire family! We have venders and sponsors coming in from all over the country supporting the event and even folks contacting us to attend from other countries. Book your hotels now... The raffle and auction are incredible! the food is off the hook! The kids fishing turn is a must see ( all tackle furnished) ! Stay tuned in here and our website for more details to come.. This at least gets us started.. Get Tight Suckas! Brett Holden / Capt. Ahab

Unfortunately, i'm not going to be able to make it this year. I sure encourage everyone interested in either learning about swordfishing or just having a good time with like-minded folks to go-last year's was a lot of fun.

Going to be fun for sure! Lots of new stuff and lots of new folks stepping in this year.. We feel like it getting a little more organized each year. Sponsors are really kicking it this year. Many have already doubled, what they have done in the past and man we have some really nice raffle and action items coming! Lots of new tackle and gear coming out. Really looking forward to seeing everyone again and just having a blast!

Also there are lots of people that do alot to make this event happen each year.. I really want to thank Josh Graves and Rory Starling for what they do. This deal wouldn't happen with out their special efforts and hard work! There are several more I need to mention but these 2 guys put in hundreds of hours collecting items for the monster raffle and auction every year and much more.

Ill start posting pretty regular now.. We gave our selves the extra month this year to have it a little closer to fishing season and warmer weather. It's time to Get Tight Suckas!

Also I'm getting to Emails and PMs a fast as possible.. Please don't hesitate to contact us to become a sponsor ... We will have more info up soon.. Brochures will be ready soon with tons of info regarding the seminar.. We will have them ready in time for the Houston fishing show.. Thanks again Brett Holden/ Capt. Ahab and the Booby Trap Fishing Team
