Went out with Troutslayer and Stickem'fishrman last night to the hole to see if the trout are still hanging in there and yep they are still there. We got on the water at 6:30pm, ran out to the hole and started throwing Roach BA's with no luck what so ever. I was beginning to think the fish had moved on for the summer. Took off the BA and went to MONSTER GIGANTIC Lobsters for bait and started catching a few here and there. Another boat pulled into the spot with some smaller shrimp and they caught a 2 man limit pretty quick. They went over to Bacliff by boat to find smaller shrimp. Maybe we should of done the same. Oh well! We still had a blast! We caught some dinks, some small reds and even a big ugly to top the night off. Check out the pic of Troutslayer with butterfingers.....i think he dropped that trout 6 times before we could get a picture.

Glen...your Stickem' rods are AWESOME as you well know. I was trying to break one of his rods just to see how tough they are and that big ugly had that 6' 6" med. light rod bent almost in half and the rod held up. I'm impressed! It was nice fishing with ya and hope to do it again down in Sargent real soon.

Well...got a few fish to add to the collection for the July 15th 2cool fish fry.

That was one slippery fish and did not want his pic taken. Had a blast Zork...and It was nice to meet the maker of the Stickem rods. Great rod, very light...you can fish all day with this rod in your hand and no sore wrist...Hey Zork July 15 is gonna be the 2cool fish fry at Runge park? What do I need to bring? I always have an appetite...It goes everywhere I go. send me a message......I will bring whatever you need me to.

Hey Zork looks like you had better luck than we did lastnight. After meeting you in walmart we killed some time and headed out just to have dolphins literally feeding in our lights...needless to say 2 trout was it.. As for teh stickem rods I love mine, I have 2 of the tail series rods and just recently ordered a redfish special. Great rods that are very light with great action.

Slippery Trout

I had a great time fishing last night also. Troutslayer may not be able to hold on to em once there in the boat, but he didn't have much of a problem getting them there. Zork also was on his game bringing his share to the table. I'm the only one to fall short on that trip.Thanks Zork and nice to meet you TS I had a good time. We'll do it again soon I guess next time we have to go to one of my spots. Thanks Again! What a great spot

It sounds like you guys are regulars down there. I am not and wonder if you could tell me where there may be some good spots around galveston. My buddy and I are going to drag the boat down from Dallas this weekend, and would like to do more fishing than searching. Any guidance you could give will be greatly appreciated.
