I had plans to go fish the surf till sundown, but changed my plans since the wind was blowing a bit and the surfcams made the water look choppy. Instead, I waded the north side of the dike. The water was so-so and there was very little bait in the water. Caught a couple of hardheads and 1 real nice poor-man's tarpon. (26" skipjack).
Someone, please tell me that the surf was rough and sandy so I don't feel so bad...

The surf was a little choppy but not too sandy 8/4 on West beach and the trout fishing was good on 51MR till dark, sorry.
