I'm fishing for a few days between SLP and Surfside. DOes anyone remember the name of the condos at #5? Any other decent inexpensive place to stay? I usually camp but my guest requires AC.

Yes, the Perigrin. Couldn't remember. Called and $550/wknd if available. Out of my price range.

I used to rent a house right on the water at San Luis Pass/ Treasure Island/ car bodies. The pink one right by the big round one with the bulkhead. Had a sweet deal worked out with the owner. I cleaned it before leaving so she didn't have to come down from Houston and always left it in better shape than when I came. Result: $200 for the weekend and an extra day if I could stay and the bite was on! I almost cried when I was fishing one day and they were painting it with a For Sale sign. Went to visit and she said someone made an offer the same morning they hung the sign.

John, I'll check out the cabins. I tent camped there before....but not in August!
