I am tempted to hit the surf on Sunday to catch some trout? Should I go? I never have any luck for trout. I think the surf is the only way I could catch a couple. Any one fished it lately?? It is a long trip for me I just want to make it worth while.

All along surfside beach can be deadly at times. Also you can try over at San Luis Pass.

It looked pretty good this afternoon at Jamaica Beach. Nice and flat, but a bit muddy out to about 75 yds. Lot's of bait in the water and a few birds working.

It's sandy inshore and has been most of the day on West beach. The wind is ESE less than 10mph. We are on a four tide schedule so If we get SE it could clear on the incoming tides.
