January 23,2011- Sabine Lake not so cold, but we had strong southeast winds today. Left a little latter (@ 8 a.m.), but did not take as long to catch our first 20" Speckled Trout. A 26" Redfish followed not long after. After the First Speck, the action was steady for hours. If we caught every Speck and Redfish that hit, we would need two ice chest. We missed a lot of bites and a lot of hookups. The Specks, Reds, and Rat Reds we did catch hit hard and fast. The Specks we missed were just barely hitting and not wanting to make that big commitment. "Hackberry Hustlers" caught more Specks today. The "Corky" caught a couple of nice Specks and missed a couple of nice hookups. Caught a nice Flounder by accident (nice surprise). Any time you catch a Grand-Slam on Sabine Lake, you had a pretty good day, being in the middle of winter makes it even better.http://www.luckylindycharters.com
