My wife and I are considering bringing and leaving our RV (Fifth Wheel) in Bolivar for the summer months while the kids are out of school. Any suggestions or places to stay away from? I would prefer to be in a covered spot but its not a requirement. I want to bring the boat down on weekends and the wife wants to be able to take the kids to beach during the week while I'm at work. We thought about Galveston but since I work in SETX its much more convenient to be in Bolivar.

Try Bayside RV Park. Call 713-598-8338. Real nice little place.

We have been doing this for years. We make a day trip in early spring to find a campground for the summer. There are a couple of NEW places this year, worthy of a road trip. Some of my favorites are listed below. You need to check and see if they offer a 'monthly' rate. Some do not. I would highly recommend you check for beach access via golf cart when looking at camp grounds. Crossing Hwy 87 at a light is ok on a cart. Beach via a cart is the way to go.
