Has anyone put a sub inside a closed off center console, if so how does it sound? Have a Nauticstar Shallow Bay and thinking about adding a sub with my sound bar. The sound bar sounds good and is loud, but has no bass.

I put a 12" sub in the front of the console of our deck boat. The console is not as big as my center console boat but it sounds great.

Im interested in what others have to say as well. I want to do this but am concerned about all the electronics that will be rattling around.

It will sound good….. if you have a compass it may be stuck on a North setting…. Like mine is!

I have a Wetsounds 10" under the bubble console on my SW 23 Cat. Sounds great but takes up valuable space for tackle bags, I have a riser so looking to take the sub out from under the console and add a couple smaller ones in the riser to free up that space.

I also have a Wetsounds enclosed sub on the floor within the console, next to my 36v Lithium TM battery. It sounds great mounted there and I have not experienced any issues from it. The sub has always been there and the boat is a 2013 model.

I have open air subs on front of console. Doesn’t take up as much room as a sub with enclosure.
