A study released this week showed that drinking coffee reduces a person's chances of developing cirrhosis of the liver due to alcohol consumption by 22% for each cup of coffee drank on a daily basis! They said that someone who drinks 4 cups of coffee per day is more than 80% less likely to develop cirrhosis of the liver than someone who drinks the same amount of alcohol but does not drink coffee. The study also monitored tea drinkers, but said there was no tangible correlation between drinking tea and reducing cirrhosis of the liver.

Just an interesting FYI...

No justification here. I have not ssen any of my friends die from coffee. But i have physically seen three of our friends die in their "early" forties from liquor. I was on my way.
I'll stick with straight coffee.
