Have had two Stihl's in the last ten years. The second is now in need of replacement. Neither lasted as long as I thought they should have. What's the good stuff?

I have a 5 year old Troy-Bilt 25cc 2-Cycle 17-in Straight gas String Trimmer I paid around $124.

It's always started up on the first or second pull and has never had a problem.

Considering the price of Echoes and Stihls I'd say I made a pretty good deal. Heck this thing might last another 5 years or more.

Not bad for a $124.00, eh?

Kinda surprising to hear about that unless you totally abuse it. What's the issue with them?

I have my dad's 25 year old Echo that I use. I rebuilt the carb last year and it runs great. Its pre-primer bulb and a little harder to start than newer ones, but still works and the price was right.
