We hit the water early about 5:50 am and waded a spoil bank type area and landed some solid Trout. The bite started slow with the tide still coming in until 9am. I had 10 blow ups on top water but only 2 hooked up and both spit the hook shortly after the hook-up. All trout were caught on plastics (Pumpkin/chart, Pumpkin/Lime/White, Tx Roach) in 3' to 5' of water. The bite didn't really start until about 9am. We had 4 fish by 9am and then we had 13 trout by 11am. They were all solid trout with the smallest 17" and the largest 23". We did not catch any undersized Trout. They were hitting real soft and sometimes just picking it up with very little bump. We worked it slow and were patient. It was a great day to be on the water with ideal conditions.
