The wire has a temperature probe on one end and on the other either a thermometer or a transmitter to a remote thermometer. You can read the temp of the meat while keeping the smoker closed. You can set it to beep when you hit the desired temperature.

What is your recipe? What is your cooking method? How hot? How long? Internal temp?
