Do you need a Texas fishing License to fish offshore ? I don't think so, but better safe than sorry.

For the first time ever, I find myself asking this question. I have never been without a current license, but work, family responsibilities etc have prevented me from getting a new one, and if I don't need it for offshore tomorrow, i'll probably pass till next week (teal !) to get my super combo.

Thanks in advance.

Generally the game wardens dont even ask for a license if you have offshore species of fish. You have a problem when you have a red, flounder or some trout in the box with them.

Thanks for confirming..

what I thought was the deal.
The trip tomorrow is to Boomvang in search of Tuna. I doubt we will stop in state waters unless it's to swap beer for shrimp or chum.

Thanks !
