Looking at these two as my next boat and gonna plan a test drive with a dealer soon unless someone on here has one and would give a test ride and of course fishing! lol. Looking for first hand info on these models for the pros and cons. I will be midsizing from a 24 elpescador and 15 scooter but think these have the right in between size and comfort for how I fish now. Thanks!

I've got the 19 w/115 4 stroke. PM me and I'll take you for a ride and show you the good and bad.

For what it's worth I bought the 19 then immediately thought I wanted a 23 with raised console. After a couple of trips on the 19, there are very few times I wish I had the bigger boat. If anything I wish I had the storage of the bigger boat since the 19 has minimal storage but handling, draft, etc. is all good on the 19...there aren't many places it can't go.

I have a 20ft. With the 115 SHO Yamaha. I think the 20ft really needs a 150. The 20ft is basically same hull as a 21 and 23 but shorter. Where as the 19ft has different cat hull. Looks like the 19 maybe able to run skinnier but more wet of a ride in some chop. 20ft does it for me. I had to get a custom prop to keep mine from cavitating on the 115 SHO. so my top speed is maybe 33mph. But now it jumps out of the hole but lost my top speed. If you do the 20 do yourself a favor and get a 150 hp motor.

Waypoint has 20's with a 150 Etec for $35,900 right now, the motor comes with a 10 yr warranty. Keep in mind, this is a bare boat, but still a good deal. They will sell them with a 115, but recommend a 150 with the 20 ft. I'm sure Texas Marine will sell whatever makes the price look good. Both lack storage, especially the 19. The 20 with a raised console is an option worth looking into.

How does the 19 float with people on board to one side or in the rear? I mostly wade so want something for easy access but something that constantly has water rolling over the sides like my scooter. Has anyone had issues with structure or flooring with wood in the boat? I'm looking at this as being possibly my last boat and wanting something to last like my Elpescador has.

I have the 20' cat with a suzuki 150. Initially was disappointed with performance as I needed almost knee high water to get up. Then I talked to Jack foreman...without even seeing the boat he told to have the engine mounted all the way up...add a cav plate and one of his 3 blade props. I did and Now I love my boat. If I am drifting I can hop right up. If I stop drifting I still get up with a few turns of the wheel. Goes as skinny as i want to go and does great in chop <18" (get the Lenco trim tabs). I launch out of mansfield where the channel can get pretty rough when the wind picks up. You don't get beat up too bad or get too wet if you keep your speed down and navigate accordingly.

Overall, it's a great boat....just talk to Jack about how to set it up.

Any other questions...shoot me a PM
