As gooda time as any, seems like we're all new members now! LOL

I'd like to get to know some of you living in the golden triangle area to share some stories, local reports, and maybe some time on the water.

Thought maybe we could create a little local network or distribution list, maybe even organize a get togather on Pleasure Island or something....

Any interest? Fletch

We've had a couple of gatherings...

at Walter Humphrey park on the south end of Lake Sabine. Dating back to 1999, one of those was my first to attend...TXG3, if I remember correctly. Hmmm, I might even have a pic or two if I can find 'em.

re: SabineStalker long post

I'm like you, all over, or hopefully wherever the fishing is best!
I live close to the north end of the lake (BC) and when "it's on" up there that's nice and close for me. I usually launch at BC bait when I fish north, I like to visit with Richard up there, he's a nice guy.
You know how it is though, seems like the south end is more productive most of the time, I usually go out of Logans park when I fish south, nice ramp and facilities, sometimes the causway but I hate the ramp there.
I fish out of a small bluewave so I don't have guts enough to do the shortrigs in my boat but my fishing buddy has a 23 ft skeeter and will talk me into going out there with him occasionally.
I do spend a little time on the jetties when conditions are right, won't pass on a flock of gulls working shrimp if the opporatunity arrises, but my favorite thing is being about waste deep and throwing a "she dog" in the mid lake area! I love that! I guess that about means it all huh!
I'm gonna put you on my list of contacts and if I have a report (good or bad) I'll share it, hope you will do the same.
By the way, fished last night, south end, water still looks like ****, wind was pretty rough all night. No fish, knocked off about 1 am and got some some sleep. Going to Calcasieu Monday, I'll let you know how that goes. Keep in touch, Fletch

Can a guy living on the other side of the border get in on your group? Fletch2000 - I haven't heard anything good from Big Lake since the rain. I hope you are finding them. BTW - I am one of the few locals who wade Calcasieu for about 4 years now - I'm assuming you do as well - if not you should start. Let me know how fresh it is. My last check it was about 3 ppt salinity even on the south shore.

Welcome aboard CC and FO, I'm gonna put you guys on my reports list list. Sorry I was so long getting back, worked 12 then fished 12 and slept most of today. (I gotta stop doing this) Ended up not going to Calc, went to Sabine instead, gluttin (is that right?) for punishment. Sabine is real slow right now. Thanks for responding, can't believe there's not more area peoplke in here!
