Park and fish!
There is a concrete ramp that goes down towards the water (some will remember the days when this ramp took you onto the beach, before so much sand washed away). Walk down the ramp on the right side and you can easily get onto the beach, then find a place to wade out. There are days when the fishing can be awesome there, today just did not happen to be one of those days!
