Thinking about putting one or the other in my pathfinder. Wanted to get thoughts as to which product y'all recommend. Looks wise, I like the seadek, but I don't know how stain resistant it is. Thanks for your thoughts.

I was also thinking about putting safe floor in my Shallow Sport after reading the reviews the safe floor seems to be very durable to staining. I was reading the reviews on the seadek and it says it will not Staind from gasoline or blood as long as it it is removed in a timely fashion. Seadek comes in the largest piece of 39 by 77 inches and safe floor when laid looks like one continuous piece. Safe floor believe is more appealing to me

Safe Floor is rubber granules mixed with an adhesive and is then trowelled on. It can be any size and color combo you want. There is really no size limit. The only real limit is they generally won't put it on a vertical surface.

I really like my Safe Floor and I don't think I'll own another boat without it.

I had some Sea Dek in my poling skiff. I have Safe Floor in my boat now. Sea Dek was hard for me to keep clean. It always looked grungy. And you have to be real careful with a car wash wand, the high pressure stream will cut it if you get too close. It is soft, it feels nice on bare feet and it looks cool but I would not want it for my whole boat deck. Something like putting it on a poling platform, casting platform or maybe on top of a cooler it's fine. I had pads made for my under the gunnel flyrod racks so the reels wouldn't bang on the sides. Stuff like that it is nice. I just personally wouldn't want it for my boat's deck.

For a whole boat deck I much prefer Safe Floor. It is very durable, easy to clean, looks good longer and can be repaired if needed. If you did have an issue they can pull up the bad spot and replace it with new Safe Floor. The only downsides vs Sea Dek is Safe Floor is heavier and it isn't as soft on bare feet. But it is way more durable and highly slip resistant.

It runs about $14/sq ft.

I will say I had a minor issue with some of my flooring coming up and Brandon at Safe Floor took care of it no questions asked. He took one look and told me he was fixing it under warranty, and he did. I was very impressed. Good guy, good service and I really like the product.

I had my 22' pathfinder done by Brandon at safefloor. It looks good and my 2 young kids don't have a slip and slide deck to deal with anymore. He did mine about 8 months ago for around $1400 if I remember correctly. It definitely is worth the money spent and on a side note, if you pay cash he will come off of the price. Let me know if you want to see a picture of the finished product since you also said you have a pathfinder.

I had Safe Floor installed near San Leon recently. I haven't even used it yet but will hang it in the lift next week and start using often. They did an excellent job, even way back in corners under the motor well. They are just very professional.

For me, due to my back, the number 1 issue was safety. But, it came out looking so nice!

Seadek

I have had seadek in mine for the past 3 years and absolutely love it. I had to take my TM off last week for a repair and the color has not faded one bit. I dont wash mine with a wand, so cannot comment on that issue, as when it gets dirty I clean it with soft scrub and a brush and it looks brand new again.

Thanks for the comments on the boat, I really appreciate it. Based on the weight of safefloor, I'm not exactly sure on the weight. With that being said I drift a lot with the wife & kids & wade fish just as much with friends. I can still get into my same wading spots with the boat without any problems with the little bit of extra weight that was added from the safefloor. Only difference now is that I can clean my deck in a 1/3 of the time now & I also don't have to use a pressure washer that has enough psi to peel skin off a foot. Safefloor is well worth its price & they stand behind their product.
