I think the West End is still restricted. More so than anything the amount of debris might keep you from actually getting there.

You can bet the the pass itself is very different where the channels are and wading is probably pretty risky with no telling what is in the water.

All that being said, the beach front water looks great and there is bait everywhere...

i believe you can get down bluewater highway you just need a truck or suv most of the holes in the road have just been filled with gravel or you can put in at chocolate or bastrop

you can get there but you have to go through galveston.you can even go across the pass and as far as what used to be ernies bait camp.R.I.P. ERNIES.those guys won't rebuild,they had just got it up and running.that place is gone.

There is a check point at the San Luis Subdivision on Blue Water Hwy; about half way between Surfside and San luis Pass.
At that point you have to be a home owner or have plenty of documentation that a home owner wants you there.
Not much beach under the bridge on the Brazoria Co. side.
At high tide yesterday, the water was about where the pavement used to end.
There is a butt load of linemen on the Blue Water.
The spots that are washed away have become deep soft sand due to the heavy bucket trucks and 4x4 is recommended; pulled a 2x2 truck through one spot yesterday.
Looks like they set about 40 new poles and they were pulling line.
Hope they don't stop short of Treasure Island.

Hows it look on the Galveston Bay side of the pass?? Did they newly constructed Condos and Beach houses hold up??

The "newly constructed condos" of Point West did extremely well. They are built on concrete pilings. There was zero glass breakage. The only damage was due to wind driven rain that came in around some windows and doors. I own a condo there and I had wind driven rain come in 2 windows only.
