Hit the south shorline early around Panther point with Dmaxrojo, Cdavis, and Rockfish. Quickly found a top water bite over shell mud mix in about 3-4 ft. of water. Strung a few solid trout. Bite died about an hour after sunrise. Split up from Dmaxrojo and Cdavis. We headed up to Panther reef. Tides were way up about three feet over the top of the reef. Scattered bait and no takers. Moved back to the south shoreline and started wading around marsh drains over mud and shell. Found a spot and started getting consistent hits. Best baits were electric chicken assasins and root beer gulps. Ended up with a two man limit of trout 16-21in. Dmaxrojo can chime with any additonal info.

Second Half

Once we left EricG and Rockfish, we headed into the back lakes. We were able to run waaaaaaay back in there due to the higher tides. Only a few scattered reds in the skinny water. We headed back mid afternoon to get some R&R because we were going out Sunday AM also.....See Capt. Steve Bolt's report. http://2coolfishing.net/ttmbforum/showthread.php?t=181846

Not too much boat traffic around ESB and SAB on Saturday. Although a bit windy, the weather cooperated and everyone had a blast.

Good work. I know some folks who fish that bay ALOT and have been having trouble finding fish back there lately.

Nice Stringer!
