The new house will get a fiberglass saltwater pool. Some say not to do flagstone around the pool due to saltwater. Does anyone have concrete pebble rock finish and how does it hold up or what works best.

We have flagstone coping and pea gravel deck. The salt was constantly eroding the flagstone and seemed to always have sand in the pool. We recently converted ours to chlorine as the salt seemed to be eating everything up. The heater turned into a pile of rust and all the stainless light rings turned black. This is just my opinion but you may want to do more research and see if you really want a salt pool.
Good Luck

Brick coping no problem.. river rock on perimeter-fine... my heater, pumps is 7 years, just normal chassis rust. Saltwater is 3000 ppm. Have aluminum patio deck furniture. Electroysis at feet has taken paint off. This may or may not be due to the salt effects. I would not use flagstone, or any cut stone unless you want to seal yearly. I am happy with my saltwater system, very low maintenance, and cost for chemicals is about $25 a month, which is 2 gallons of acid, and an occasional bag of salt.
