Man, do the crappie get big in the GOM pond! Who would ever go back to Summerville after a catch like this. Found this one about 40 miles out with his friends in the second pic. Who would have thunk it.

Pallet

The "crappie" was hiding under a pallet that must have fallen off a freighter. It was about a quarter mile from some popular rocks. It always pays to keep a good eye out. I hope there will be more like this one in the future.
