My heat is out and I need the whole thing replaced. It will take a few days so I need some solid advice on space heaters. I want to pick up a few and would rather spend a little on very safe devices than take any chances. Anyone have experience with these?

We have one of those in our RV along with a ceramic heater so we don't have to use all our propane on the RV heater. It works very well and makes no noise at all. Just like any other space heater make sure you leave plenty of space around it.

I would be more worried about the wiring in your home and how it's circuited more than the space heater itself.
If you do go through with this you need the contractor that installs your new unit to check your panel for evidence of damage to your main and your branch circuit breakers.
If your house has Al wiring I would not even consider it.
