My 2 boys and myself opened up on the LA side of the jetties yesterday morning. Major tidal current and a prevailing North wind made it difficult to keep our baits in the zone. Grinded out 2 trout and 1 red, one the trout was a 4lber.

Around mid morning we made our way to the Texas side and found calmer seas. We fished several wrecks in the surf all the way down to Sea Rim Park and managed to catch a 10 trout stringer that weighed 27lbs. All of the fish were caught on plastics ranging from DOA shrimp to RedfishKillers. Gold Glitter seemed to be the color of the day.

This was my 4th day of fishing in the past 8 days and the trout we caught today were defintely bigger and thicker than those of my past trips. Beautiful green to blue water is flowing in the ship channel and the Texas side of the gulf is really shaping up. Although, it looks like conditions will be changing in the next few days. I will keep yall posted.

God Bless

Jman, we used to fish the old rigs just East of Sea Rim in the fall and have caught some really nice trout. We used to put my Alum boat in on the beach on the far East end of Sea Rim and run out to the old rigs. Could be good most anytime but in the fall after a front its usually flat and the water is very clear and the trout will be there and good ones. WW
