No, I don't.Do you know of a service station in the US that has three or four armed security guards round the clock? I doubt it .
They destroyed property, refused to pay, Got a little Brazilian justice, paid up and were released. Sounds likes a fair deal to me.
Lochte was too excited, probably felt like a bad a** having a gun pointed at him, and couldn't keep his mouth shut. Couldn't tell the truth because it would make him look bad, but it was too good of a story to keep to himself, so he stretched the truth.
If this happened in the US, Texas for that matter, and the store clerk or security actually shot them, bet there is a good chance they wouldn't be charged for shooting.
That is cheap to get out of Dodge. Adeus Brasil!Lochte's buddy had to pay 11,800 USD to leave Rio .Basically ransom
Yep, years ago a friend was arrested across the border from Laredo for a pocket knife. 3 days in a Mexican jail a 1000 bucks later they said adiós.His wife was p'd.Supposed to have been deer hunting. Busted in boy's town. That is cheap to get out of Dodge. Adeus Brasil!
Lol, but so true. Note to self: Carry $10,000 to Rio, just in case I'm extra randyWhen in the third world, there are three types of problems: $50 problems, $500 problems and $5,000 problems. The experienced traveler can distinguish between the three, promptly tender the appropriate amount, and be on his way. No fuss, no muss, and no press.
Bathroom doors are $50 problems. Dead hookers can be $5,000 problems. Not always, but occasionally.
How would you know?Dead hookers can be $5,000 problems. Not always, but occasionally.
Have to disagree with you on this one. The guys were representing the USA. Made us all look bad. Also, they were acting like fools in another country. So many Americans feel that everywhere they travel, American norms and standards apply. Ive seen it too many times. And people in many countries love to give rowdy, disrespectful Americans the message: This is NOT America.who cares?
these kids have dedicated more time and hard work to their sport than any of us has to anything. give them a pass for blowing it out hard after they finish their olympic careers.
it's what kids do and in their cases, i'm sure they don't have a ton of practice partying.
Oh it will be. Spin spin spin. A lot of money at stakeI want to hear what they have to say after their last buddy is out of Brazil. Might be very interesting.
I for one am **** glad that's not America.Have to disagree with you on this one. The guys were representing the USA. Made us all look bad. Also, they were acting like fools in another country.
