Good to hear JR. Kinda expected your first post back to be about the bull red run in the surf during the worst part of the storm! Have you made it to the beach to check out the damage, or are they stopping folks from reaching HWY 87?

Have not made it to the beach since the storm. Did help a friend round up a few cows on 73. They have 124 blocked, and you can only get through if you have proof of a residence in the area.

Few of us are headed down to Matagorda beach this weekend. Trout in the morning, BTB during the day, and surf fishing at night.

More then welcome to come down. I have plenty of tackle if you do not have any left.

Might see you down there this weekend JR. I might try BTB tommorow after my college classes. Then I might run out some shark rods saturday, and then sunday might go offshore in search of kings on a friends boat. The water will most likely still be dirty in the surf, so back in the bay might produce better action for trout. Just watch out for the mud both on the beach and by the bay theres alot past the shell banks.

Glad to hear....

Glad to hear that most made it through with minimal damage. Our biggest issue was a few shingles removed when the neighbors awning left. Power was out for a while but it wasn't a biggie, fired up the generator plugged in the fridge and freezer and away we went.

Worse case we were prepared to set up the canopy and tent out back and do it up right. Just figured if we did eventually a crowd would start piling in and before long the neighbors would start to complain folks driving through their yards and putting up rod holders out by the curb.

Lots of you were in our thoughts and prayers before, during, and after. It is great to see that everyone so far has been accounted for and is OK.

Got to run, good luck to all headed to Gorda. Wished we could head that way as well but are committed to other things this weekend.
