pro-rated for the remainder of the season, or roughly, $14,000,000.00. if he makes 20 starts the rest of the regular season, that comes out to $700,000.00 for each start. if he throws 100 pitches each game he starts, that comes out to $7,000.00 per pitch. of course, he doesn't have to travel to away games he doesn't pitch, and he will make a few tune-up starts in triple-a, first. not a bad deal at all.

the inside report is that this deal was done back before January of this year. Look for Koby to be called up in September.
