I am thinking about repowering my 24' cape horn with twin 175 zuke's, currently have 90 model 200 yamis. Boat is approx 3800, have been told that the 175's would work great but would like some opinions from the fishing folks. I would like to go 4 stroke for sure as to be able to increase range on 185 gallons.

Buzzard Bill has a pair on a 28 foor panga, from what I hear, he is real happy with them. And those things sure are quiet.

I would not think you will increase your range as much as you think. Less horsepower and possibly heavier engines. Carbed, 4-stroke and FI all get about the same MPG when running at higher RPM's. I think the Carbed engines actually won. There was a artcle in a tx fish and game. I would not have believed it had I not read it.
