I have a Merc outboard 125 that the tilt/trim pin on the top of the lift shft is broken, an exploded view shows a keeper "trilobe" pin that connects to it. Has anyone replaced this and could you give me some idea of how the procedure goes?
Thanks/

pin

The trilob pin pulls out as if you were pulling a nail; it keeps the trim and tilt pin from sliding out sideways. After you pull the trilobe, push the pin out. You may need a hammer and a punch is there is corrosion. Grease the new one and line up the holes so that your new trilobe pin will fit in place.

Thank you very much pth, that was a needed tip from an experienced person. I have been waiting on those parts and thought it fit that way, but needed to see them to tell.
