I love summer rainy days. And I love to chase reds in the rain if the wind is light.
Today was that day.
I launched about noon and went to the marsh in the back of starvation cove.
The reds didnt let me down. They were there and hungry.
I didnt see any tailing which surprised me but the bite was good anyway.
I ended up with 10 Reds and 4 specks. I kept my limit of reds and let the trout go to get bigger.
Topwater ghost did the trick in chartruese...........
Rained on me the whole time and I loved every drop.
I wish it was Bull Red season, they bite real good in the rain.

Ray,

Stay old school my brother. I tried that braided line myself once upon a time and couldnt stand it either. Great fish and thanks for the report.

It's amazing we caught any fish at all back in the day before polymers and gps's and tunnel hulls, ...... but we did.
