Went to Quintana Beach this morning. Took the boys out on their first of many surf wading trips. Surf was a little rougher than I expected it to be. Water was a sandy brown, could see the green water a couple hundred yards out. Fished with live shrimp under a popping cork and fished with soft plastics. Cought allot of small trout between 8 and 14 inches. Only cought two keepers. My son had one of the keepers, his first keeper trout, 17 3/4 inches!!!!!! Kids had a blast, heck, I had fun too. Also cought about a 30 inch Black Tip Shark on artificial, along with sand trout, croaker, spanish macks, and whiting!! Had fun, but I do warn everyone going to the beach, BRING MOSQUITO SPRAY!!!! They will eat you alive down there!!!!
