I've already tied a braid at one end with a thimble, but on the other end I'm going to have less than a minute to cut it to length and tie it, and I can't braid this stuff that fast. Plus it's got to be a knot that pulls up tight, can't leave an open loop.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Splicing the line to the anchor is permanent and fool proof, but a bowline is your best knot and can be tied in 5 seconds. It is also very easy to untie the knot.
