Just a little tease to show you all a little project that we Putter has going to help pass on rodbuilding to the next generation. The rod (when completed) will be raffled and ALL the proceeds will go to a man who for several years has been donating his time, money and knowledge to teaching rod building to kids for free. I am really pleased to be able to help with the program. Here is the beginning of the work. I dont remember the particulars on the handle but if you want more info just drop me a line and I will fill you in. I tried to tie in the two bass weaves to the wood colors.

That's going to be one FINE rod. Perfect thread colors to go w/ the wood. Not 1, but 2 weaves...beautiful! Jerry

Thanks for the wonderful comments. I was worried most about the wrapping matching the wood. Now it goes back to the wood master to put the handle on it and bore out the fore grip so I can take it back and put a crosswrap in the foregrip area with the same colors as the chevron in the split grip area. After that it goes to the marble master Putter. After it is all done then it goes to a couple gatherings and shows and a raffle sometime in March (I think). I will post pics of the final job.

Hey I hope I am not breaking any rules here. If I am would someone please tell me. This is 100% charity for the kids.

Who is doing that? I have some blanks I'd donate to someone who was letting a kid build his/her own rod with it.. Arlon
