Has anyone had problems with power poles drawing down your battery during normal usage?

I can see how it would, while its down. I would put another battery on ur boat or tie it in w/ the trolling motor batteries.

You may have a bad battery, or something else going on with the electrical. They don't draw much power at all and then only when raising or lowering.

I use mine a lot and I have one of those really small batteries they put in poling skiffs. I've never had a problem.

Running ours off the starter battery...no problems. Gotta' go with Gottago...they shouldn't pull that much juice and only then when it's in action. gb

Should not pull that much voltage, on the starting battery. You might have another problem, would have to rig a Amp meter in like of the p.p. and run it and check the amps, Do not know the draw, but thier tech dept. can tell you. If just installed, I would have them check it.,
