We hadn't had a good trip in a couple of weeks now, so our luck had to change. As it was, we left Victoria at 6 am and it started to rain, as it was it rained all the way to Charlie's. After getting the boat in the water, the rain finally quit and we ran out down Dewberry Isle. We waded almost from the cuts into the lagoon back towards Charlie's cut. Trout were slow but steady, by 11 am we had 15 good trout and then we headed to the S. Pass area, most of it in the bay was muddy, so we went into Long Lake. We made 2 long drifts and caught 5 more trout and 2 reds. Most of the fish were in the 17" to 19" range with a 23" and 25' trout. It turned out to be a good trip but it was a lot of wading for the fish that we caught!
