Headed down to POC for the July 4th weekend with family and friends to do some fishing and watch the fireworks.

We fished the south shoreline of W. Matagorda Bay on 7/2 and 7/3 with good numbers of trout all caught on Trout Killers, TK II's, and the new TK II Jr.'s. Our best luck came off of the TK II Jr. (Pmkn/Chart).

On 7/4, we headed to Sunday Beach for a little "fun in the sun". Talk about an amazing site. I've enclosed a few pictures of both shorelines on each side of us.

That's exactly why we went to the waterpark in Sheridan!! Bet it was a sight too see at the ramp later on!

You fishing the Poco Columbo this year? Looks like ya'll had a good time, fishing and celebrating. Hope to run into ya'll later this year down the coast. PM me sometime.

Looks Like it was FUN

Missed Sunday Beach this year, was in POC but had a few things to do at the bay casa. Looks like I would have guessed it would be. WOW. Went out Sunday around 5:00 to fish and saw an endless string of boats comming back in from Saluria, the CC was pulling them over if they had more than a few folks or were running too fast. I'm sure some money was collected for the county library that day!

The bay was blown out by then, the beach front just a hair over my personal comfort level so we did a lot of running around and played POC tourist like everybody else !

Watched the fireworks from my driveway and got the heII off the street before the crowd started trying to get home. It was Crazy.

Nice to see someone was able to find fish, most folks had a hard time finding them in the bay, you have fished that area a few times before haven't you ?

We usually fish the Cottons/Middlegrounds area, but didn't have to go that far this time. We fished a couple miles west of Greens. There was another boat with us that caught a couple of limits as well in that same area.
The fresh water coming from Matagorda, Palacios, and Seadrift appears to have pushed alot of fish to the south shoreline.
