I went into Jamaica Beach today via the West Bay. Launched in Hitchcock. No problems till I got there....Almost 100% of Jamaica Beach houses are damaged.....mine got it BAD !sad3sm

Gonna be a BIG cleanup !

Lots of DPS to prevent looting......they were on me within 5 minutes of tying off on my dock.

Glad to see them..all kinds of property is lying all over the place......this was a big storm...will take along time to recover..

Very bummed !:frown:

BigOTex, thanks too for the pictures of Jamaica Beach. Looks like my next door neighbor's just acquired a big ole twin engine Wellcraft in their front yard.....I am curious as well as Hoogenda of how the ride across the bay from Greens cut was to make into Jamaica Beach as far as the amount of debris you encountered.....Thanks, Mark

For some reason I can't view the photos. When I try to register it won't accept my email address [email protected] which I'm not really understanding.

BOT, My place is just off the main canal. lets say you were launching from the jamaica beach boat ramp, as your heading north down the canal my place would be at the end behind a big new house that was just recently built. Do you think you snapped any photos of that area - that little pennisula on Pelican Rd?
There was a red fin boat in the slip I was wondering if it hung in there or not.

TXstoke,

I looked over his pictures, but he didn't make it down your way towards the boat ramp. His place is on the east side on Jamaica Cove Rd. The pictures took show mainly the houses along the main canal closest to the bay. Mine being in one of his pictures off of Flamingo way and Cormorant where the big cuddy twin engine Wellcraft now sits in my neighbor's yard.....

Thanks,

Mark

Thanks man but I found a real good shot of my place and it looks like I got real lucky. Not even a single roof shingle missing. Thanks again.

Dude, that looks just like it. I thought for sure that was my redfin until I noticed it had a GT 150hp on it and not the V6 that is on my boat. It looks just like it though. I could see my boat in the sling in a photo I looked at today so everything is good. thanks.
