Thinking about paintin my replacement bumper and was wonderin if anybody here has done it before ? Do you sand it , primer it or just start painting it ?I know i should prob line-x it but i dont know how much longer ill have this truck. Any info would be appreciated

I had a replacement on my old truck. I didn't paint it myself, but my paint guy sanded primed and painted it. He said it will take rocks and debris better if it has primer and paint. He also put some clear on top.

sand , prime and paint, you can use a 3m maroon pad to abrade the present finish and not sand it, prime and then paint you can probably get by using dupli color spray cans to do the job as well as the clear coat. I am assuming that it is a chrome bumper now.
