Many fishermen are asking about the status of various boat ramps around the Galveston Bay system. Based on surveys completed Tuesday, September 23, 2008 by TPWD Coastal Fisheries Division staff the following ramps are useable/open. Please be advised that no attempt has been made yet to determine the depths in these ramps (siltation) or the presences of submerged debris. USE CAUTION WHEN LAUNCHING. Note also that Galveston Island, Bolivar, and Surfside were not accessible to the general public on this date so these sites are not included on this list.
