Hey Guys,

Quick question. I have an old Aquasport w/ a 115 Johnson. The key broke off and I am replacing the ignition switch. The current switch has 5 posts marked as follows: B S A M M. I have Battery, Solenoid, and Accessory figured out. Do you know what the two M's are for. There is one wire to each. Charging coil, power pack, magneto? Should there be a ground going to the ignition. With no way to turn the key on, I can't determine what each post does when the key is on or off.

Thanks for your help......Q

B---positive battery--usually at start solenoid-normally protected with 20 amp fuse.
A---accesories-hot when switch is on
C---choke-hot when key is pushed in to choke position
S---starter-hot when switch is held over to start position
M and M---magneto-one M is connected to ground -black- and the other is connected to kill wire-black with yellow stripe-. When switch is off these two are shorted together.
