Me too (Army surplus)....... I worked for Academy when I was 16 (approx. 1985)... I got some great deals in that store for being an employee! I worked with Mr. Jim in the fishing department at the 290/1960 store (Mr. Jim owns the small tackle shop on Caney Creek in Sargent - I believe it's called The Tackle Box???).......
Old Academy.
Just something I thought about, and was wondering how many people remembered the old Academy where you could pick and choose your soft plastics in the little bins. Kind of like you would for your fruit and your veggies at the grocery store. I wish it was like that now, with all of the new lures.
