Has anyone been able to scope out which areas are suitable for wade fishing, and which are not?

My son (who works at the Urgent Care clinic) told me that the parking area at the west end of the seawall is blocked off by a barricade. Satellite photos indicate that the beach there has been scooped back into what used to be tall dunes, but cannot tell whether it is a debris minefield or an open sand flat.

I understand the ship channel shoreline at the east end of the sea wall blvd. is largely unreachable due to the large pile of debris.

From the few working webcams, the water looks pretty good. It should settle quickly after this evening's "norther" blows through. Hoping to go Friday morning, but not get into the water until you can see where you are stepping.

Best wishes to all!

I'd like to know as well... the beach cams do look nice and i want to try to get out there this wknd if possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

From the looks of the cam, there's no more beach, seems like the water goes right up to the rocks on the seawall. not sure how north or south jetties held up tho.

Man, I know exactly how you feel. I've been down to JB twice now to work on the house and last Sunday the surf was looking awesome. I just want to wade out in that surf with my back to all the destruction and look towards the open gulf. At least then things might seems a little closer to being back to normal.
