My neighbor, Larry and mutual friend from Dallas, Kevin made a trip to the North Jetty yesterday. Water was in great shape. Kevin caught a 22" red. I caught a "mascot fish"(sheepy!). Also we nailed several of Legate's friends, i.e. some rather scrappy stingrays. They were fun to fight but.....

We made one run up the bay towards Smith Point and Hanna's but say no birds working nor many boats out. On the way back to GYB we ran across a large school of huge reds busting on top right in the middle of the Houston Ship Channel. Turned around on them and tried to sneak up but to no avail. Threw some arty at where we thought they might be but nada. Had to depart rather quickly since a supertanker was fast approaching pushing a huge bow wave that we wanted no part of! The reds were a sight to see!
