This has been coverd here before I am sure. I just found out that I will be in the Houston Freeport area for the next Six weeks working and of course fishing. I have fished offshore for my whole life but have skipped a few summers lately because of my kids.I get on TWO Cool about four times a week to veiw every ones great pics and keep my appitite for offshore fishing wet.

Boats ready, ditch bag has been updated, and towing insurance made current.My question is do I need a permit from the NMFS to retain shark and reef species in the GOM?I have lost the link to there regs. Thanks for your help and when I have a fishing report next week I will post up.

sharks
tuna
